As many of you will know, in December 2011 I attended a selection course with a gap year charity, Project Trust. I travelled to the Isle of Coll in west Scotland to be assessed and see if I was capable of volunteering abroad for a year. I was so excited on the morning of new years eve when the post came to say that I had been successful and that I had been selected to teach in Namibia!
When I arrive in August I will be teaching English to children at a primary school as well as setting up dance and drama clubs. I will also be representing Living The Dream Company when teaching dance and drama. But before I can go, I need to fundraise at least £5000 to fund my flights, insurance and other expenses. This will enable me to drastically improve the education and futures of many young children in Namibia. As I only have a few months to raise this amount I will be holding many events in the near future! Details of how you can donate or sponsor me will be up shortly!
p.s. I’m also supporting the Living The Dream Foundation, helping support more young people who can’t afford access to the arts. please donate!
